Arborist Apprentice

Full and Part Time positions available, permanent

$18.00-$24.00 per hour

Duties Include:

• Set up and maintain a safe work site

• General jobsite clean up: haul branches, operate chipper, rake, use blower to cleanup work sites

• Assist the lead arborist with: hedge trimming, tree pruning, and tree removals

• Work on ladders

• Work in all types of weather including rain, wind and snow and heat

Job Requirements:

•  Must be able to meet at the yard each day for 7am.

• Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs

• Have steel-toed boots and wear required safety gear

• Be a self-starter and find ways to contribute to completing work at the jobsite.

• Be an excellent team player who communicates well with others

• Committed to health and safety in the workplace

• Energetic, motivated and hardworking individual who is looking to grow in skills

Other Attributes:

• Valid drivers license and vehicle

• Be interested in arboriculture and tree care

• Experience with equipment, including saws, pole pruners and chainsaws

• Training and experience in the tree care industry is an asset

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
